About Meghan Rector, M.S., E.I.T.
I love being an inspector and being directly involved with impacting the quality of work that occurs on the job sites I frequent. My passion for inspection began in Las Vegas, when I began testing asphalt as a means to make a living. It turns out, I really enjoyed working within the construction industry. After Qc’ing at an asphalt plant for a year and a half, I enrolled in the Civil Engineering program at the University of Nevada, Reno. I continued working in the construction industry, while pursuing my degree and graduated with a Master’s in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Geotechnical Engineering.
While I have worked in highway construction, utilities, foundations, gold mining and building inspection, my passion is working within the structural building inspection. I love seeing all the different elements of a building come together in addition to the teamwork and creativity that goes into solving problems and working through construction based challenges.
I am, at heart, someone who loves to collaborate. I greatly enjoy helping contractors understand specifications and building codes so as to make their job easier. Partnership is a core tenant of how I like to work and look forward to seeing the relationships I build moving forward.
